A peek at your feed

It starts with a quick 2-minute interview. Then Quieted builds you a feed like this — the same day's news, sorted your way.

What the evidence says about raw (unpasteurized) milk

  • Pasteurization heats milk to kill germs like E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria; raw milk skips that step.
  • Claims that raw milk cures allergies, asthma, or similar conditions aren't supported by scientific evidence.
  • Health agencies have linked raw milk to outbreaks that have hospitalized people, including young children.

Calm — a neutral headline and the plain facts, with the alarm turned down.

👇 Tap Read / Calm / Skip

In your real feed you set this once, per topic, and it sorts automatically — you never have to tap story by story.

This is a made-up story shown for demonstration only — “The Metro Ledger” isn't a real outlet, and no real article is quoted here. In the app, the Calm version is written by AI (and can be imperfect), always from real reporting, with a link back to the original.

No endless scroll

Quieted refreshes once a day. When you've read today's, you're done. Nothing new loads to pull you back in, and there's no bottomless feed waiting to swallow your afternoon. Come back tomorrow.

Why I built Quieted

For a long time, the news ran my day more than I'd like to admit. I'd catch one alarming headline in the morning, and there went the next few hours… turning it over, worrying about something I couldn't do anything about in that moment.

I'm not trying to look away. Bad things happen in the world and I want to know about them. But I've learned I have to be careful about when I let them in. On a good day I can set aside time for the hard stuff, when I know it won't quietly derail everything after it. There was just never a real way to do that.

Most outlets hand everyone the same firehose. None of them let me sort the news around my own life. I want to know when there's a war. I don't need the sensationalized version of it. And a new medical breakthrough? Tell me everything.

Nothing out there could do this. So I built it. That's all Quieted really is: your news, on your terms, at the temperature you set.
