Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026. Quieted is a product of Productivity Stacks.

Using Quieted

Quieted is a personalized news reader. You choose your outlets and, per topic, whether to read stories normally, see a de-sensationalized “Calm” version, or skip them. By using Quieted you agree to these terms.

Beta service

Quieted is in beta. It's provided “as is” and “as available,” may change or have interruptions, and may contain errors. It's free while we're in beta. We're not committing to a future price and we're not promising it will be free forever — but we'll give you reasonable notice before any change to what the service costs.

AI and accuracy

Quieted uses AI to categorize stories and produce Calm versions. It can be wrong — including miscategorizing what a story is about or misstating a fact. Quieted is not a substitute for the original reporting. Always check the source before relying on anything you read here. We're not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

Third-party content

Headlines and snippets come from publishers' public feeds, and we link out to their sites. We don't control or endorse that content and aren't responsible for it. Publishers' own terms apply when you visit their sites.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to it; no using it to violate the law or others' rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.

Your account

You're responsible for the email account you sign in with. You can delete your Quieted account at any time in Settings.

No warranty; limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quieted and Productivity Stacks disclaim all warranties, and won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post changes here and update the date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
